Goals & Objectives:
· Describe the current illicit drug economy and environment
· Define important toxidromes that require specific therapies
· Name new toxidromes that have been described in association with novel illicit drugs
Accreditation Statements:
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of .75 AOA Category 2-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation.

Grievance Policy:
All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance. If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, then they can then submit a complaint in writing to the Council on Continuing Medical Education of the AOA at 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.

Dr. Schwarz is at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis where he is Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, Director of the Medical Toxicology Fellowship, Section Chief in Medical Toxicology and Advisory Dean in the Office of Student Affairs. He serves on several committees at Wash U and at Barnes Jewish Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in Emergency Medicine and in Medical Toxicology. Dr. Schwarz also serves his profession as a committee member on multiple committees for the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American College of Medical Toxicology, the Missouri College of Emergency Physicians and the Midwest Chapter of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
