The Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 0.75 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

Ben Rezny is currently an emergency medicine critical care fellow in the anesthesia department at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where he works in the surgical, neuro, trauma and cardiovascular intensive care units. He graduated medical school from Des Moines University and completed an emergency medicine residency at the University of Tennessee in Nashville. His professional interests include ECMO and graduate medical education. As a former law enforcement officer and detective he also works with medical care professionals to help identify and intervene in human trafficking.

Dr. Rezny discloses that he has no relevant financial relationships with any organization producing, marketing, reselling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients relative to the content of this presentation.
