The very, very quick version of my CRAZY Story

Just a few short years ago, I came up with this crazy idea to create my own interview-based web show The Rise To The Top.

No experience. No idea what I was doing. Just a passion for figuring it out.

So, I experimented. Spent thousands and thousands of dollars of my own savings (honestly, it was my Bar Mitzvah money I’d saved up since I was 13) to figure it all out. And thousands and thousands upon hours in pure time learning how to make this work.

And what have been some of my results?

A few quick highlights:

• The Rise To The Top has been viewed/listened to nearly 7,000,000 times in over 100 countries
• The business around the show generates multiple 6-figures in income. More than enough to support my family including hiring my dad full time (he works for The Rise To The Top now). Even if you aren’t interested in monetizing your show, this is definitely something you should know.
• I’ve had chance to interview (and perhaps more importantly form a relationship with) over 300 of the world’s top creative and unique entrepreneurs, authors and big thinkers ranging from “The Millionaire Matchmaker” Patti Stanger to the author of The 4-Hour Workweek and The 4-Hour Body Tim Ferriss.
• I love the freedom of doing it from home and doing something I really freakin’ love on my terms. I get to work when I want for how long I want where I want which is pretty darn cool. This has allowed me ridiculous freedom to really enjoy the heck out of life be it a mid-day pick up hockey game with friends, a spontaneous trip to Costa Rica or kidnapping (not literally) my wife for a romantic day of fun including massages, wine and cheese. And, with my new found freedom I completed transformed my body from soft-ish to super fit.

… and yes, it has led to all kinds of other cool stuff like speaking gigs, doing a special project with Google and book deal…but enough about me.

Is this shameless, self-promotional bragging of awesomeness? Well, yes of course it is! Just kidding. The idea here is to show you this is possible and not fluffy theory (if you want some fluff, go pet a bunny). Everything that has happened in the past couple of years has been a direct result of creating an interview-based web show.

You don’t need experience. You don’t need zillions of dollars or a huge team. You don’t need to be a “tech master of the universe” You don’t need a bunch of pre-existing connections and credibility.
