POA Intro 2
Procastination = Fear manifested in the form of Inactivity (what else can I do)
95% of the population is affected. 20% are cronic patients (run the risk of losing their jobs, the relationships and have monetary problems) 40% of people have experienced financial loss due to procrastination.
Factors that make us procrastinate (Lack motivation)
1.Lack of confidence about finishing the job.
2.Bored about the task.
3.Tendency to go for immediate reward over long term gain.
MOTIVATION – Just an emotion, a feeling.
Happens when the images, thoughts, pictures, words and sounds of what you want and why you wantdo not match up with what you currently have and why you currently have what you have.
The challenge with motivation is that its temporary.
Drive and pull is consistant and constant motivation until they become automatic.
You have to consistantly keep the images, thoughts, pictures, word and sounds in front of you until they become a part of who you are all the time.
Every time you learn something new, DEBRIEF as quickly as you can. Dump everything youve learned in a piece of paper without looking at your notes.
POA Intro 3
Par of the reason why you procrastinate, is because you spend the bulk of your time doing things you don’t like.
Discipline: The spontaneous execution of the prescribed activity.Even and specially when its dificult.
Action and activity are 2 different things. Action is doing something 1,2 or maybe even 10 times.
Activity is consistant action, doing it over and over until you get the result you want.
The number one skill is rehearsal!
Rehersal: Doing something (whether you like it or not) with enthusiasm, intense emotion that attaches you to that.
It conditions your nervous system to think: “this is part of me”, and “this is what I do”.
What you should master in your life is the REHERSAL of activity. Connect your emotion to what you are doing. (Cause yourself to get exited)
PREPARATION, APPLICATION and CONDITIONING.
Your WHY? is what pulls you into things.
Exercise: –Rehearse putting yourself in the mindset of going after something–
Exercise: –List of things you are good at.–
