If you’re an analyst or engineer engaged in security testing or penetration testing, you’re typically expected to produce a report upon completion of your work. This video tutorial is designed for security engineers at the entry-to-intermediate level and provides instruction on how to use Kali Linux toolsets to accomplish three main tasks associated with report production. First, you’ll become familiar with Kali tools that allow you to manage and manipulate the significant volume of data generated during security and penetration tests. Second, you’ll learn about Kali tools that help you capture and organize your test notes, preparing them for integration into your reports. Finally, you’ll explore Kali tools that enable you to work collaboratively with your security colleagues to collect, manage, and prepare comprehensive reports. To participate in this course, you should have access to Kali Linux.

Ric Messier (GCIH, GSEC, CEH, CISSP) is the Director for Cyber Academic Programs at Circadence. He has decades of information security experience and is the author of multiple O’Reilly titles on infosec and digital forensics, including Introduction to Penetration Testing and Learning Linux Security. Messier holds a BS in Information Technology from the University of Massachusetts, an MS in Digital Forensic Science from Champlain College, and a PhD in Information Assurance and Security from Capella University.
