After a few years of loses I finally started making certain observations about chart patterns.

I realized that on some days the market would open higher and move higher and some days it would open higher but sell off and finish much lower and on some days it would open lower and finish higher.

On days when I was able to understand ahead of time which variation would take place I would make great returns.

But I kept struggling with determining what’s next most of the time, until I realized that it’s not just the patterns that I have to pay attention to but also the context of the market environment.

Once I combined the two: the charts patterns with market context I started getting better results. But I felt at times that I was still missing something.

After years of research and thousands of daily trades and swing trades I found the missing ingredient.

I was able to narrow down all the variations to just 13 key variations of what the market will do each day, then I assigned a numerical value between 1 and 13 to each variation of pattern.

Once I did that it I was able to discover an entirely new world of trading! In other words, I was able to focus on simple math, simple numerical sequences that would point out to a certain outcome once certain conditions were met. I noticed that certain sequences had a high probability of a specific outcome the following day.

So I became obsessed with identifying which sequences produced high probability outcomes of what the market will do the next day. I have been able to identify some probabilities with 65% of markets dropping next day, 90% probability sequences of market moving higher the next day.

By doing so I was able to eliminate all emotional aspects of trading and just trust the numerical sequences. This was a total breakthrough for me in short term trading. I also noticed that certain market moves were more beneficial for day trading and certain were more beneficial for swing trading.

Once I understood that, I had a clear strategy of how to match the right type of trading strategy with the right type of move, which significantly increased the size of returns on each trade.

Once I understood the formula trading became so simple!
